Akhnoor 17 Nov., Govt. Degree College Akhnoor organized Prize Distribution cum Financial Aid function in which Hon’ble MLA Akhnoor Sh. Rajiv Sharma was the chief guest. The function started with lighting of lamp by the chief guest and other dignitaries followed by Saraswati Vandana by the students. The chief guest Hon’ble MLA Sh. Rajiv Sharma and Principal Dr. S.P Sharma and committee members distributed about forty Financial Aid cheques to the needy students and about and more than sixty mementoes to the student who excelled in various events organized in college campus, University of Jammu and other city colleges.

On the occasion the chief guest applauded the students for their participation in various events and encouraged them to carry on in near future. He announced an amount of Rs. One Lac from his CDF for the general developmental activities of the college. Principal Dr. S.P.Sharma in his welcome address threw light on the achievement of college students and other activities. The overall function was organized by college Cultural Committee and Financial Aid Committee under the supervision of Prof. Raj Kumar Gupta Convener College Cultural Committee Amongst others who attended the function were Prof. S.S.Parihar, Prof. Chander Shekhar, Prof. Tarsem Lal, Prof. Anshu Sawhney Prof. Sushma, Prof. Kuldeep, Prof. D.N. Sharma etc and other official accompany the respected MLA. Prof. Raj Kumar Gupta presented the vote of thanks and the program was anchored by Ms. Riya, Sonia and Neha.
