GDC Akhnoor concluded its ‘SWACHHATA PAKHWARA’ .  

    

Today on 23rd Aug, 2017 GDC Akhnoor concluded its ‘SWACHHATA PAKHWARA’ which started on 1st Aug. 2017 with valedictory function while lighting the sacred lamp. The function was chaired by Principal of GDC Akhnoor Dr. Anil Gupta who in his address to students quoted Mr. Ravi Purandren, an eminent veteran of cleanliness drive of Pune and inorder to inculcate regard and respect for nature in our young ones. As the country has been facing a problem of leaf litter for a long time and in order to keep the premises of schools and colleges he threw away his passport to purposely vanish the temptation to travel any further. In order to make the city of Pune he brought the concept of cleanliness right from the school and as a motivation more especially for EVS students to keep the surroundings clean and green. Prof. Pavanjeet Bali, Prof. Iesha Sharma, Prof. Mussarat Choudhary, Prof. Mamta Sharma graced the occasion. NSS programme officer Prof. Sanjay Singh apprised the NSS volunteers to keep their souls pious so as to maintain their character, which will help them to become role models in near future in connection with Swachhata Abhiyan and cleanliness programmes of India. Mr. Sandeep Kumar, NSS Volunteer and Ms. Urmila Devi organized the function and read the vote of Thanks.
