GDC Akhnoor celebrates Teacher's Day

Today on 5th Sept. 2017, The students of GDC Akhnoor celebrated Teachers Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. A well organized programme was put up before the faculty members. The students spoke about the great personality Dr. S. RadhaKrishan that he was an educationalist, great philosopher, statesman and diplomat. It comprised of dances, songs, speeches and games for teachers. Principal GDC Akhnoor Dr. Anil Gupta enlightened the students and faculty members about the role of teachers and duties of students in today’s changing scenario. He further highlighted that the teachers of this college have been working with dedication, compassion and hard work to shape the future of the students, keeping in view the deviations in social behaviour. He also introduced the term ‘Para Teachers’ and the developing para teacher culture in the prevailing situation. Ethically, he said the teacher is supposed to focus on holistic development of the child besides academic growth. All the faculty members thanked the students for putting up a good show.
